A little hit, but miraculous place in the Yunnan Province is Tiger Leaping Gorge — a brutal, but ridiculously gorgeous, two-day trek that takes you above, and then in, one of the world’s deepest canyons. Just got back from two glorious days spent scrambling and shuffling along this amazing ridge. A few pics from the trek:
(Quitao, the town at the entrance of the gorge)
(Looking along the interior of the gorge)

(Jade Snow Mountain, Tiger Leaping Gorge)
(One of three small villages you pass along the way)

(There are a lot of amazing, but sheer, drop offs along the way)
(Walking on the interior of the canyon after climbing down a steep series of steps and ladders)
